Steps for creating a template
Create a report template in Microsoft word.
Anywhere you would like to add tags, add them to the template in the format
See example templates on the inspection page (when viewed on a laptop)
Save template, and upload it in the Admin tab
When the upload is complete, the page will refresh. Navigate back to the template section to setup the tag options:
Auto-increment. The numeric value will increase by 1 every time you submit a new report
In filename. The value will be included in the report filename
Email. The report will be emailed to you when it is complete. Check your spam folder if it doesn't show up
Save. The report will be saved to our server for a month. You can download it from the 'report list' tab
Missing email reports?
Check your spam or junk folder. Emails should come from qikworkreports@gmail.com . You may need to add this sender to your address book or approved senders list
Check you have registered with a correct email address
Check that your report template you are using is setup to send the report as an email attachment.
Barcodes and QR codes can be used to assign values to tags. When a barcode is scanned QIK will attempt to assign it to the correct tag, in the following order:
If the barcode is decoded as tag:value, e.g. project:QIK, the tag with the corresponding name will be assigned the value.
If there is a tag in your template called 'barcode', it will be assigned the value.
Most barcode and QR code formats are accepted, including: QR Code, AZTEC, CODE_39, CODE_93, CODE_128, ITF, EAN_13, EAN_8, PDF_417, UPCA_A, UPC_E, DATA_MATRIX, MAXICODE, RSS_14, RSS_EXPANDED
There is also the option for integrating QIK with your enterprise tracking system in order to automate barcode tag:value assignments.
